  About Ocean Imaging Systems:

On February 15, 2002, the complete imaging product line of Benthos, Inc. was purchased by Ocean Imaging Systems (OIS), a newly formed  division of Marine Systems Technology, Inc.(MAST). Although this product line is new to OIS, it is not at all new to the key people behind the new division. The technical and business foundation for this new venture is formed by two people with a total of over 75 years of experience in the design and manufacture of underwater imaging systems. Bill McElroy brings 30 years of experience in electrical, optical and software design, both at Benthos Inc. and as the founder and president of Marine Systems Technology, Inc., while Dave Jones has over 35 years experience as an ocean engineer, specializing in intricate mechanical and optical designs.

While the existing imaging products acquired from Benthos provide a base, Ocean Imaging System intends to utilize our background in engineering both standard product and custom imaging systems for the oceanographic community. We welcome requests for either modified standard products or new ground up system designs.
